Good evening!

Two months ago, DATING OF THE FUTURE launched. A lot of stuff has happened since then, and the only way we can get through it without me spending all of Christmas-eve-eve writing is if I deliver it in the form of a TIMELINE!

Let's hop right into it. Make sure you like and subscribe. Actually, before we get into it, did you know that only 15 of you? Also, shoutout to today's sponsor: World of Tanks. Engage in thrilling tank battles, as well as intimate homosexual relations across enemy lines. Can you love and fuck your way through world war II? You play as the Nazis, also. Thanks again to Raycon for sponsoring today's video.

DATING OF THE FUTURE: A TIMELINE

This timeline won't have timestamps unless I suddenly start giving a shit about journalistic integrity.

  • A couple of days after release, I am approached by the publisher TinyHat Studios, who are interested in retroactively publishing DATING OF THE FUTURE.
  • A few days after that, I sign with them and DATING OF THE FUTURE becomes a TinyHat published game. Preparation begins on their end for making changes to the storepage.
  • DATING OF THE FUTURE gets its first negative review on Steam.
  • A new CG is added to the game's intro in a minor update.
  • DATING OF THE FUTURE is labelled as unsupported on Steam Deck. I begin trying to implement better controller support and fix problems with the Steam Deck version.
  • DATING OF THE FUTURE goes on sale as part of Steam's winter sale. It's still on sale, too!
  • DATING OF THE FUTURE is officially re-labelled as Steam Deck verified (This happened today)

That was a lot to get through! At least, it would've been had I had the opportunity to elaborate on each event in meticulous detail as I usually do, but alas. You have been spared.

ALLOW ME TO NOW ELABORATE IN METICULOUS DETAIL

Okay, not really.

Really I'd just like to apologise for the silence since! After the first month or so, it became quite evident that I was a little tired from working on the project, so I apologise for the lack of public presence (if you even noticed...)

On the other hand, I have been VERY active on the DATING OF THE FUTURE Discord server. Everyone there is absolutely delightful to speak to, and it has been a great experience to get to know so many people through a shared interest. That shared interest being my own work, of course.

In the meantime, I've still been hard at work thinking about what's next for DATING OF THE FUTURE, as well as in general. I don't have any announcements ready currently, but you can rest assured knowing that this is certainly not the last you will see of me; not even slightly.

Maybe I'll have something soon? I can't really say at this stage. But I can certainly make vague hints with nothing to back them up!

CONCLUSION

Thank you all for supporting DATING OF THE FUTURE through to its release! I hope you all had a great year (I know that I did...!) and that next year is full of new opportunities!

Turns out writing this took all day after all. Interesting.
